Dropping the 4-Cylinder and Raising Prices by $1,750 for the 2025 Toyota GR Supra

For the 2025 season, Toyota will no longer offer the GR Supra with a four-cylinder engine.
A 3.0 liter inline-six engine paired with a manual or automatic transmission is the sole available option.
This year’s models are $1,750 more expensive across the board compared to last.


The 2025 GR Supra lineup, unveiled by Toyota, features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder option that has been strategically streamlined—or, put another way, mercilessly pruned. Because of this simplification, the remaining trim levels will cost $1,750 more. Be not afraid, purists; the 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine now rules the roost, and you can get it with either an automatic or a manual gearbox.

There are now just two trim levels available for the 2025 Toyota GR Supra: 3.0 and 3.0 Premium. Both can be customized with the available Safety & Technology Package, which enhances the former, and the Driver’s Assist Package, which combines the latter.

The 3.0’s standard equipment includes a 10-speaker sound system, an 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, power-adjustable sport seats, black Alcantara and leather upholstery, and more. You can get the 3.0 Premium in either hazelnut or black leather, and it comes with a 12-speaker JBL sound system.

The exterior color palette offers the white Absolute Zero, black Nocturnal, and red Renaissance Red 2.0 shades, as well as the optional blue Stratosphere.

The 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, which was sourced from BMW, continues to produce 382 horsepower (285 kW/387 PS) and 498 Newton-meters of torque. Because of this, the rear-wheel-drive sports car can go from zero to sixty miles per hour (97 km/h) in 3.9 seconds when equipped with the eight-speed automatic transmission or 4.2 seconds when equipped with the six-speed manual, the latter of which is available at no extra cost.

Since the GR Supra’s chassis setup was changed for the 2023 model year, including the addition of the manual gearbox, no adjustments were necessary in this area. An active rear sport differential and adaptive variable suspension (AVS) are standard on both trim levels. Three modes—Normal, Sport, and Individual—allow the driver to fine-tune the vehicle’s handling, suspension, and power steering.

Both trims have seen a price increase of $1,750 when compared to their 2024 MY counterparts. There is an extra $1,095 for the GR Supra 3.0 that is not included in the figures in the table, and that is the Dealer Processing and Handling Fee.
